So, can you guess how many steps the fabulous Jan Snow has taken in an average day on the job?

The wind has picked up considerably and changed to be blowing out of the Southwest between 10-15 mph. The sun is high in the sky and shining brightly. The work on the land blind has been good because the wind is at the dog's back and is less influential when coming from that direction. The water blind, on the other hand, has been fair to good as a result of the stiff wind blowing the dogs into the shore.

Series 6 & 7 Land/Water Blinds With A Double Dry Pop
We have traveled to Test Site #2 owned by Bill McKnight. This property boasts some amazing terrain and intricate pieces of water the Judges are sure to take advantage of for this Series 6 & 7 We begin the test with a mat facing Northeast. The starting potion is located behind the crest of the hill. Therefore, making this Land Blid a "No-See-Them" start to this land blind. Once the dog reaches the designated area the Handler may move up to Handle. The land blind includes about a 100 yard run before the dog reaches a channel of water from the tail end of the pond where the Water Blind will be run in conjunction with the land blind. After the dog has crossed the channel there is a bit of land to travel before the dog must negotiate a corner of a pond. Then the dog must run a side-hill for a while before he reaches a dead Hen Mallard. This land blind is taking 2 - 3 mins to complete.
While returning from the land blind a gunner sitting on the land bridge between two ponds, in which the water blind is run stands to "Pop" twice. The gunner then sits down and the dog begins the water blind. The mat for the water blind is facing Northwest over-looking two ponds in the valley of the hillside we are running from. The dog angles the side-hill about 50-60 yrds. before having to enter the first pond at an angle. Once in the pond the dog must swim at an angle toward the land bridge where the gunner is sitting close to the line of the water blind. The dog must swim along the right-hand shore over a small point into a spit of water to another point where the Drake Mallard is placed on the side-hill to the right of the base of the point. This blind is taking about 4-5 mins a dog.
