Series 5 Land Quad With A Honor

The site for Series 5 brings us to a gorgeous field with rolling hills, meandering roads, and many uniquely shaped pieces of water. This property known as "Valhalla" is Norse for Heaven and heaven on earth it is. The mat is set on top of a hill facing Northwest over-looking a pond nestled in the valley of this field with a gentle roll. The first gun station to go off in this Land Quad is placed in the middle of the field and sits on the left-hand shore of the pond. This bird is a dead Hen Mallard thrown to the right landing on the end of a point which protrudes from the opposite shore. The Mallard is landing in medium to heavy cover and measures 204 yrds. This station retires on the left-shore and is completely hidden. We will refer to this station as the Right Retird bird (RR). The next station to go off is situated shallow and to the right of the first station, it is a Drake Mallard flyer. The Mallard flyer is shot to the left and lands in the valley of two gentle slopes measuring a distance of 143 yrds. We will refer to this station as the Right Flyer (RF). For the third mark the dog will have a big swing to the far left of the field to look long at a gun station sitting high on a hill. The third station is throwing a dead Hen Pheasant to the right and retires behind the hill. The Hen is landing on top of the hill in light cover and measures at 225 yrds, it will be referenced as (LR). The final bird to be thrown in this Quad is situated shallow, tight and to the right of the LR station. This gun station remains seated until it is their turn to shoot. We will refer to the go-bird as the Left Flyer (LF) This final bird is thrown to the right and is a Hen Pheasant measuring a distance of 112 yrds. Once the dog retrieves their 4 birds they move to an Honor mat to the right of the working mat and this completes the Series 5 Test. Good Luck To All!!!
